Excel Addon

An Excel add-on is used to view and analyze metadata values for different parts of a query, such as standard queries, aggregate queries, and transform queries.

In Excel add-on the DPL menu will ingrate to view the meta data

What is Metadata in Queries?

• Metadata = data about the query, not the actual data

• Examples:

  • Column names

  • Data types

  • Filters applied

  • Aggregations used

How to start the service:

• Settings 🡪 configuration 🡪 components 🡪 enable the Excel Addon service

• Once the service is enabled the office set up will be installed in the system.

Launch the Excel Addon

• Navigate to the Automation choose the Excel, the new excel sheet will be open click the DPL studio menu,

• click load the browse pack popup will be open,

• choose the pack and select the Query (Standard Queries, Aggregate Queries, And Transform Queries) and Extract

• Data in the query will be displayed.
