Management and Support

1. Software Management

  • License Management

    • Pano2VR operates on a paid, perpetual license model.
    • Licenses are version-based: purchasing Pano2VR 7 grants access to all updates within the 7.x series, but does not include version 8 updates.
    • Licenses are managed through the GARDENGNOME Store Account.
  • User Management

    • Pano2VR is installed on a per-computer basis, with the license key required during installation.
    • The license allows use on multiple devices for the same user (refer to the GARDENGNOME license policy for details).
  • Version Control

    • Ensure all team members are using the same version of Pano2VR to avoid compatibility issues with projects.
    • Minor updates (e.g., 7.1 → 7.2) are free, while major upgrades require the purchase of a new license.
  • Data Management

    • Organize projects by maintaining consistent folder structures (e.g., input panoramas, skins, HTML5 outputs).
    • Store project files (.p2vr) and associated assets in centralized storage for team collaboration.
    • Implement version control or backup systems for large projects.

2. Maintenance

  • Regularly apply updates to fix bugs and enhance performance.
  • Ensure the operating system and graphics drivers are kept up to date.
  • Periodically clean out unused cache and temporary files to optimize performance.
  • Back up custom skins, templates, and configuration files to prevent data loss during reinstallation.

3. Support

  • Official Support

    • Access support via the GARDENGNOME Support Portal.
    • Refer to the User Manual, FAQs, and Tutorials for assistance.
    • Submit support tickets for technical issues.
  • Community Support

    • Participate in discussions on the GARDENGNOME forums.
    • Explore YouTube tutorials, training courses, and user groups for additional resources.

4. Best Practices

  • Standardize project templates to ensure consistency across the team.
  • Provide training for staff on using the Skin Editor and other advanced functions.
  • Maintain a record of troubleshooting steps for future reference.
  • Archive completed projects for long-term storage and easy access.
