What is Pix4Dmapper?​

Pix4Dmapper is Pix4D’s flagship photogrammetry software that converts drone, aerial, or terrestrial images into accurate 3D point clouds, meshes, and orthomosaics. It is widely used in surveying, construction monitoring, inspection, and mining volumetrics.

Management Features​

1. Project Data Management

  • Import images from multiple drones or cameras.
  • Manage GCPs (Ground Control Points) and checkpoints.
  • Organize projects by site, client, or time-series.

2. Processing Workflow

  • Automatic processing pipeline:
    • Step 1: Initial processing (camera alignment, keypoints detection).
    • Step 2: Point cloud and mesh generation.
    • Step 3: Orthomosaic and DSM creation.
  • Predefined processing templates for surveying, construction, agriculture, and mining.

3. Quality Control

  • Generate quality reports with accuracy metrics (RMSE, reprojection error).

  • Export outputs to CAD, GIS, or BIM software.
  • Supported formats: LAS, LAZ, DXF, SHP, GeoTIFF, OBJ, FBX, PLY, PDF.
