Data Export

Export Templates in DPL Studio allow users to create reusable formats for transferring and transforming data between different sources and destinations. Using Export Templates, you can quickly extract data from one source, manipulate or process the data as required, and export it into another format. For example, you can create a month-end sales report template that:

1. Extracts data from a corporate Oracle database
2. Separates and summarizes sales by region and salesperson
3. Exports the results into a Microsoft® Excel spreadsheet Once the template is created, it can be easily scheduled using the export command-line utility provided with DPL Studio.

How Export Templates Work

Export Templates use existing queries within a DPL Studio package to:

1. Filter and process data from the data connection
2. Transform the extracted information before exporting
3. Map source data columns to destination tables
4. Define how destination tables should be created This helps automate data integration and reporting processes efficiently.
